More than a year has passed when I left this unfinished, and for the past month I've been able to finally scrounge up the parts to continue the work. The engines and the guns would stay with minor mods but the bridge and the hull would be redesigned. Stay tuned for more details to come...

The completion of the command center/bridge would be last update for the meantime as I'm finishing the merging of the Podrace dioramas.

Those guns are wicked AC. I really like how they seem bulky and menacing. Any chance for some more close up of the construction?

The guns are really well designed! And it looks as if you've found a good way to use those railroad tracks - I'm certainly looking forward to seeing the finished model.

OK, this is gonna be a very cool ship. Those engines are great. Its beginning to look more and more like a Republic Star Destroyer. But then I might be wrong. But this is some great work. A lot better then I can do.

Wow. Those engines are perfect! Love the use of the xpod container, and it was filled in with cylinders to add an industrial feel.

I also love the addition of the orange. It breaks up the monotone grey, and freshens up what we can see so far. You are a credit to the cummunity!

Guys, I really don't think that that is the Republic Star Destroyer (Venator). If it was minifig scale then that would be way too small. Plus, there aren't any guns like that on the RSD, plus, the engine exhaust is colored blue instead of orange. It could be a Rebel ship.

Thanks all for the buzz!

Just some facts about this MOC to get everybody on the same page.

It's not an official SW starship, though some design elements were derived from the Venator. It's more of an escort/attack cruiser much smaller in size but fast, deadly and deploys frontline clonetroopers. The light gray with dark gray and dark red markings signifies Republic colors during ROTS and beyond.

Built in minifig scale with a cargo hold for troop deployment. More weaponry to be built on the sides and you've only seen one of three engines. The command center/bridge is currently in progress.

Also what set do the grey flap pieces come in (the ones that are yellow on Anikins pod racer)?
