Jamie (as a boy's name)

1950s : 434
1960s : 256
1970s : 77
1980s : 157
1990s : 270
2002 : 552

Hmm, I appear to be getting more extinct. Damn bell curve. However my proper name, James, was #1 and #2 in the 40s and 30s. Very Happy

hmm... "Donald" and "Don" peaked in 1930, and have both been in steady decline ever since... "Donny" and "Donnie" were kinda popular around the 40's-60's, but still below the all encompasing "Donald".

On a side note, "Donovan" is more popular than ever ::D:

Apparently I was never popular.

It's nice having a unique name. Alternate spellings, however, hover in the High 400s and 500s.

On a whim I looked up Caelie, the name I've been dead-set on giving my daughter (if and when there ever is a daughter, mind you...) And the name can't be found! Yay! ::D:

My full first name is appearently more popular than I thought...

Ranked 134 when I was born, in the 110's in the 1980's and 90's and 138 today. Oddly enough I have yet to meet someone else outside my family with this name. Confused

Daniel

1980's: 6
2003: 8

(I was born in 1985. The 80's was the highest it's ever been in the ranking. It slowly declined one spot each decade since then. I was the rise and fall of "Daniel")

Apparently, Jacob stole the #1 spot in 2003.

But hey, look! You and Jenn shared the #1 spot in the 70's.

Emily stole Jenn's spot for 2003.
Wow, and Emma was right behind it with the # 2 spot.
I wonder why that name was so popular all of a sudden.

'Cuz the United States had a little obsession with a show called "Friends" - isn't that what Rachel named her baby?

Ugh...(not 'ughing' the name, but rather, the obsession)

I looked up the name my wife and I plan to name our daughter if and when we have one....it kind of pissed me off to see it wasn't ever really popular (300's) but in the last year it spiked to the top 50.

Wow! I must be unpopular. Wink

It was not at top 1000 in 1940, its at 884 at 1950s, not at top 1000 at 1960 and afterwards. I was born in 1976.

I wonder about 1950 spike, however. 1950 is only decade it was lower than 1000#+ ranking.

Matthew. Currently, 4. '80s and 90's (I was born in '89), 3. 70's, 10. Lowest on the list, 233 in the '30s. I rawk! XD

And don't worry Jenny, you'll always be a #1 to me.
