Nice model and nice choice of ship. The folding wings are great.

Get yourself some good shots of this thing and some close up details. I want to see some of the workings and the boiler. The steamtrooper and Vader are cool and creative but maybe Darth Flamer would be a more appropriate title. Wink

100% agreed. The wings-are they official lego sheets, or did you make them? Also, I think RR's right. Darth Flamer is somewhat more appropriate with regards to his weapon of choice, and more reflective of the way Darth Vader sounds when you say it. I love the fact that someone made this ship. It's one of my all-time favorites, and to see it steamified is way cool.

Excellent work capturing the Steam Punk style with this model, and still making it recognizable as a Star Wars ship. Some more pictures, especially with a bit more lighting, will help this one along. Pictures will be key, since you're limited on what you can put into the thread once submissions start.

Tail is from 6277

Wings are from 6271

Presently they're paper placeholders made to exact size while I await the canvas versions.

wow, this is definately my favourite of the steamies..... very nice work. If you were gonna make an air proof 'get-a-way' after robbing the Imperial Bank, this is definately the ride you'd want.

Better lit photos just added to opening post, replacing preliminary photos. Also be aware I'm using paper sails as placeholders made to exact size until canvas ones arrive.

Well, if you could add a few more pipes or tubes here and there it would look awesome, but to see something so cool come out of the land of Greenpeace is a definate pleasure to see. Keep up the awesome work!

Well, I'm sort of sticking with the Lucas design aesthetic that the Imperial ships are sleek, compared with the blockier rebel craft. Also going for a late steam period victorian ornate look rather than a chunky earlier steam-era style.

But, yeah, I may have a few more greebles and wheels & pipes before the design is finalised and the final entry picture submitted.
