Alderaanian War Frigate
Grey Thranta
Flickr Gallery
During the Clone Wars, Alderaan Royal Engineers began producing the Alderaanian War Frigate to protect and serve the galaxy in the Royal Alderaan Civil Fleet. Despite being only 250 meters long the warship was heavily armed, formidable for any opponent and was the pride of the Alderaanian fleet.
The Grey Thranta was the third War Frigate constructed. It's distinguished service during the Battle of Alderaan spared it from being dismantled under Alderaan's demilitarization. Instead, it and several others were stripped of their weaponry and sold into private fleets.
The destruction of Alderaan galvanized the hearts of many and lead to the Grey Thranta and most of the remaining Alderaanian War Frigates being given to the Rebel Alliance. Donations from survivors and sympathizers rearmed the powerful vessels where they served valiantly during the Galactic Civil War.

Indeed it is isd-scale
thanks for the comments and encouragement Joedward and Moppe
I actually was most inspired by the Evillejedi's model for the Homeworld 2: Warlords mod.
There's a few other models i'm building based on his models. I especially liked his rendition of the Sacheen-frigate
Here's a link
to the development gallery if anyones interested. |

Thanks roguebantha. Your isd-scale work has been quite an inspiration for me.
yeah, i'd agree the design behind the Alderaanian war frigate definitely has a hint of Action IV behind it.
Coincidently, i built this particular model and based some of the angling from a much larger Action IV i had built several years. Sadly i never took pictures of it.
