Awesome game. What an end to a winning streak. Amazing. I don't think I've had the chance to witness an entire game this exciting or intense... especially not with my favored team ending as the winner!

ENOUGH WITH THE PREDICTIONS! Surprised

They didn't win by a fieldgoal, they won by a Touchdown.

Wow....what an awesome game. Very intense. It was so close throughout.

Nice way to end a season. Win everything....then lose the big game. Hehe. Im so happy the Giants won.

Wait. You think that predicting a team will win because their scores included at least one field goal sometime "before or during overtime" (aka the entire game) constitutes some kind of gift?

No, I'd say it's all pointless, and will get the thread locked, unless the topic takes a very drastic turn towards NFL or College Football...

OK... so... the Probowl is going to be on Fox right? Because it's always on ESPN, and I can never watch it. I'm really glad I'll be able to see it this year. Smile

Not sure... I never really cared about the Pro Bowl. Neither side really tries, since they don't want to get hurt and there's no "meaning" to the game except the free trip to Hawaii.

Yeah, I was asking myself "what's the deal with this 'ProBowl' when the SuperBowl is the end of the season?" just seems dumb.

Anyways, on the game, it was boring until the last quarter as I expected, and the Giants won by sheer luck. Not that I wanted the Patriots to win, I just didn't want to see a bunch of smug millionaires run off with a perfect season. But I did the best with the over/under sheet my sis gave me. Too bad I was too late to actually enter the pool for it.

On the reason I watched, the commercials were pretty lame. Bud had a couple funny ones, Bridgestone too, but aside from that it was repeats for the most part. Yay for a new Wall•e spot though, and the Iron Man spot was alright.

Dug the halftime show too, because apparently I'm an old man and like classic rock. Guess they just were playing it safe after the whole nipple thing and didn't want any damn youngsters disturbing the viewing masses like before. They still didn't catch the guy off to the side enthusiastically giving the cameras the finger for a good five seconds plus though during the post game show... Laughing

I was so depressed after seeing a perfect season go to waste I went and threw up all the junk food I ate Laughing

But seriously, I have to give props to the Giants for their effort, having confidence like that against an undefeated team is not an easy thing to have. Congratulations to all you nerds who voted for them to begin with too I guess...Wink

True story: I heard on the news that the Giants wore black suits on the flight to the Super Bowl because they said they were gonna' "bury the Patriots." That's kinda morbid, and something I wouldn't expect group of people like sports players, who are notoriously superstitious, to do on a plane ride of all places.

Actually, I have to disagree on why the Giants won. It had nothing at all to do with luck, and everything to do with drive and skill. Luck was not involved in the game at all. It was a clean, mistake free game on either side, and in the end, the Giants took it with great plays and an amazing defense.

I concur. I didn't even get to watch the entire game, (don't ask) but it seemed like every time Tom Brady got the ball, he was tackled... Laughing

Well, not that I know anything about football, but those guys couldn't catch for crap most of the plays and there was the one specific pass where the QB almost went down but popped out and hurled it downfield and the guy managed to hold onto it against his helmet. That, IMO, was pure fricken luck and had they not advanced with it like they did there would not have been the winning goal.

But I have to say their defense was hardcore the entire game and if it weren't for their skill they would have lost easily. But I chalk the victory up to the miracle play.

Actually, if you watch the play, luck didn't have much. Eli managed to pull out, and the catch was just straight out guts. I'm just saying luck isn't the word... luck is when you throw up a ball, it bounces off a guys helmet and into a defender's hands. Luck on either side. Escaping a cluster of guys trying to make you lunch, throwing up a pass and having your receiver give everything to catch it...

That's skill.

Hmm... good point LA, that was a missed opportunity. Even if it was just a nice generic teaser, they missed out.
