Interesting. It might be more useful if I had a hack setup.

Maybe later.

Not bad at all, I'd say. Instantly recognizable.

As for suggestions, I would suggest using shading, lighting and many differend shades of colour when colouring the picture. That'd make the picture look more 3D and also otherwise somewhat better, since plain colour areas are rather tedious. There doesn't need to be very much shading, though, just some amount.
That's what I would suggest, anyway.

I have to say, you're LEGO Force Unleashed is awesome. I don't patrol the forums 24/7, but it seems to me you haven't gotten the props you deserve for this incredibly fun to read and great looking strip.

I'm back from a wonderful vacation in the US and I drew this on the flight home. Alfred is a pivotal but much-overlooked character in the Batman universe, so I thought it fair to draw him. This one was surprisingly easy and I'm pretty glad with how it turned out. Enjoy!

Alfred Pennyworth

This was the other drawing I did on the flight home. I was awestruck when I first saw the design for Two-Face from the terrific film The Dark Knight and thus decided to draw it. This was one of the most difficult pieces I've tackled, I struggled immensely to get it to look even remotely like Aaron Eckhart. Still, I had plenty of fun drawing the scarred side. Enjoy!

Hi all!

I just wanted to post some drawings...

My sig-fig (Thunder-blade)
I think I drew this like a month ago...

A Jedi
I drew this last year I believe...

Enjoy!

Criticism really needed! I want to see how I can improve!

OK, Jedd. I've said my responses again and again. If you're not going to use them, fine. But at least show that you saw them or say why they don't really matter to you. But I look at your posts and I see that in essence all the posts are the same. It looks like you just drop in to this thread to post things and then ignore it. This thread isn't only for people to admire your work, it's to accept criticism and either address it or put it into effect. But after the time I took to look at your drawings and write what I liked and didn't, I don't appreciate being ignored.

Once again, they are good, but please, just LOOK at my comments.

Also, I didn't intend this to be a personal attack. You have talent; definite talent, but you could be even better. I can't wait to be blown away with what you can make 5 years from now.

Thunder-blade, your sig-fig looks great. The weapons look good and so do the accessories. However, there are two things you may need to address to take it to the next level.

1) Shading. If you're trying to make something that looks animated, then disregard this, but if you want to raise your drawings' realism then this is very important.

2) Pose. A little robotic. You have the pieces, and you can easily put them together by practicing poses and human figures.

On the Jedi, just practice drawing heads and head shapes and you'll be fine.

Sorry about that JackFr. I did remember posting some replies, but anyway. I really appreciate your criticism. I'm not so good at drawing inventive poses and I've stopped shading with pencil some time ago as I'm really not good at that and have decided to pursue coloured-pencil work instead. I'm sorry that you felt ignored.

Not too bad, Maggosh. I'd just suggest some work on proportion and detail.

Quite a bit of unposted art this time.

Nice work, Hawk, as usual. The posing and shading are once again very good, especially in the Dangeresque picture. I also very much like the strong colours in this.

Thunder-blade, your drawings look pretty good, but you could improve the anatomy; particularly the hips of the trooper look rather unnatural. Shading would also look good. Nevertheless, I like the detailing in your pics.

Now, I'd like to show you a recent work of mine.

During this fall, when I was having my matriculation examinations, a fellow student asked me if I could draw a picture of the dog - to be given as a christmas gift to her dog, she claimed - after the examinations would be over. I said yes, and a couple of weeks ago she finally gave me a photo of the said dog.
I used the photo as reference and drew in about a week a quite simple drawing of the dog. Today, as our holidays begun, I handed her the picture. She liked it, which pleased me greatly. Smile

So, here are a few photos of the reference photo (one taken with flash, the other without).
And here's the drawing itself. (Clicky for a larger picture)

So, what do you think? Does it look like the real deal?

Very nice! Looking at the face, I see some Whippet and/or Greyhound, so I'd suggest elongating the face just a little, and possibly thinning the legs. Good Work! Smile

You pretty much nailed the posture, Galagoo so I wouldn't mess with that. I do agree that the face could use just a slight bit of work, it just looks a little too cute...

But maybe I'm complaining too much... None the less, I envy you for your drawing skills.

That dog is not bad at all Galagoo! I love the colouring and the expression. The front legs look a little unnaturally posed, but I love the tail and paws.

Thanks for the comments, guys. Smile

I think that was actually the first realistic-styled dog I've ever drawn, so I think it turned out pretty good.
The face was indeed one of the problem spots; I had to redraw it several times before I was even somewhat pleased. Of course, the matter was not helped by the fact that the reference picture only showed the face of the dog from the frontside..

Well, I wouldn't call that a flaw.. Wink
