Well here is how you enter to win your Gold (14 Karat) 3P0, as laid out in this issue of the LEGO Magazine:
Send a letter or postcard with your name, Age, Address and Daytime phone number to:
Golden C-3P0 Contest
P.O. Box 1179
Enfield, CT 06083
USA
All entries must be received by November 1st, 2007
Good luck, 5 solid gold droids are available and will be chosen randomly from all the entries received, and announced on www.LEGO.com/STARWARS in December, 2007!
According to the fine print the little droid is valued at $1200.00. Not too bad a prize.
Also the Magazine states that the HUNT IS ON for the gold chrome figures too, so open your sets with anticipation.

So you don't need a special card to fill out from the LEGO Magazine?
Oh yeah, thanks for the news! _________________ Signature:error

The fine print said it was limited to one entry per person, but as it is a mail in contest I don't know how that is going to work. Unless they are entering all entries in a giant database, man would that job suck.
Yes it is open to any and ALL worldwide on the 14 Karat gold droids.
The chrome gold as previously discussed is in the US.
No special card, the instructions say letter or postcard, there is no special pre-addressed card in the magazine.
5 droids total, at a value of $1200 a piece (I assume that is in US Dollars) divided by the entries received determines the odds in winning.
Oh and the typical, LEGO employees and their families, employees and their families associated with the promotion , and employees and their families associated with the advertising are not allowed to enter, or some such info like that.
Good luck to all. Can't wait to see the first chromed gold 3P0, I want pictures at least, better than have been posted.

The winners could all be kids with neither digital cameras nor knowledge of the online lego community. A shameful possibility _________________

Umm...since when was 3P0 a lesser character? He was in every single movie (along with R2). Without him, R2 would have never been bought by Owen Lars, and then the rebels wouldn't have gotten the Death Star Plans, and there for would not have found the weakness of the Death Star. Thats just his importance in A New Hope. He is just as important in all the others. On top of this, he is the only character that would make sense with a chrome gold finish. _________________

Hehe, just imagine say Obiwan in a chrome gold finish
But I must say, a carbonite Han in a chrome bronze finish might look cool too! _________________ ~~~ sUpeRnOvA ~~~ |

| I have to agree with Turkguy. It is the droids that are in all the movies and a lot of the books too, of course we all know the story is about Anakin becoming Vader, dark vs light, blah blah blah. But look at all times the doids played key parts in the story. R2 carry the death star plans, hiding Luke's lightsaber on Tatooine, and saving Padme more than once as well. Here's a deep thought. C3PO being one of the few friends of Anakins that probably didn't try to kill him. Think of all battles that C3PO was in. There's a nice list. Then we could spend hours about talking about how C3PO played a huge role in Leia's story. C3PO was even once a god to race called the Ewoks on a planet moon called Endor. Yes C3PO is no hero, a master of the force, or villan, but I would not write him off as a lesser charactor. Besides making a solid gold C3PO makes a lot more sense then making a solid gold Yoda, Luke, or Vader. C3PO was gold plated after all. |

Kam, got a quick question for you. This is not stated anywhere in the scanned pics as far as the fine prints go (unless I missed out something) that this is a worldwide promotion (or otherwise), so is this information from the interview with Steve Witt? Thanks!
Well its a difference between a 1 in a million chance (prob less than that) and zero, so its good to find out _________________ ~~~ sUpeRnOvA ~~~ |

Well Black Dragon, in that case...
Maybe, just maybe I can find one, enter the factory, go through a scary tunnel, watch a kid get shrunk into a minifig, and then receive the LEGO factory all for myself! Woohoo!
I might enter this week, don't want to forget down the road! _________________ I <3 my Lancer Evo VI |

Wow, I always wondered what the mysterious Lego Factory was like inside. I always thought it was giant machines pressing plastic into molds.
But clearly i was Way off. _________________
