WOW !!! Well done! Exelent find. Although i thought starwars was using a completly new box deseign for 2007? Proove me wrong because i am sure there is a reason. But if they are releasing this there could be a small wave of new sets.
Either way conradulations chiukeung! Thank you very much for the information. |

Yes the lack of 2007 box art puzzled me. However if it is released this year, it would still have the old box design. _________________ Luke: "What's in there?

Thank you General_Veers that would make sense but there should be more than one set so why do we not have pics of other sets! it is just speculation but it would be a bit strange to randomly release one set. |

Superb find! To tell you the truth, I lost hope on seeing the new LEGO this weekend. Now we just need a larger image and yes, this is the new box art for HASBRO and LEGO in the remaining '06-'07. _________________ I'm a Reliable Smuggler!

What is the sense to release a X-Wing together with a Han, Chewie and Leia - Minifig?
Sure, you can't have enough from them, but how got Lego the idea to put them together with an X-Wing? _________________ ~Andi

I think you can say the same for Tarkin with an ISD but IMO it's a way to get the figs that people in want in relatively low cost sets where we've only had the opportunity for Leia in two $100 MF sets. _________________ I'm a Reliable Smuggler!

I guess that TLG wanted to have the most iconic figs and ship combined for this celebration I was surprised that C3-PO was absent from the list actually hehe We would have had the 3 most iconic pairs/duo of the OT: the Sky twins, Han and Chewie and C3 and R2

Did anyone notice that the X-wing pic is the exact picture from the 2004 SW Lego line instructions? This was the same picture that we were all speculating over the "mysterious" 10131 set that turned out to be the Tie Fighter collection. The angle of the X-wing with the death star and Ties in the background is a dead giveaway. Additionally, the figures of Chewie, Han and Leia are lifted from the 5404 box.
While we may be getting a new X-wing, this is a photoshop job and not the real box art!
I'll be looking for the picture to post. Watch for edits...

The planet is Hoth, not the Death Star space station. The X-Wing flying away from the Ties is to simulate when the Rebels were fleeing. Also previous Hoth Han versions came with Tan legs, not Brown as pictured. _________________ I'm a Reliable Smuggler!

I wouldn't be so sure of that. There's clearly some minor differences on the vehicle, like the addition of tiles on the upper wings.

I still think we'll see something. I haven't found any pics of LEGO's display from Friday. So they could have show off the 2007 sets, but we just haven't had any pics yet. |

i found this on rebel scum:
The forums at German LEGO news site 1000steine.de is reporting that the next two Star Wars sets to come from LEGO will be an X-Wing Fighter (6212) due in August and a TIE Advanced (10175) in September. With no official word from TLC these remain as rumour. _________________ 'the 501st will conquer'

Also keep in mind, LEGO corp probably uses photoshop to make box mock-ups anyway. This could be a legit photoshop creation by LEGO to show what potential sets will look like. But yes it is obviously a digital creation, look at the crystal clear side and top portion, there is absolutely no shadows or glare. This is not a photograph but that doesn't mean its not official.
I must say I am a little bummed with the mini-fig selection. At least Tarkin and the black Astromech in the Star Destroyer were new figs, or the three mini-figure additions to Slave 1. Would have been cool to include a Rebel Hoth commander and soldier instead. But I agree with xwingyoda and the fact that they are probably including hero icons as promo for the celebration and the OT game. _________________ Yes, for the last time I am still with you!! |

Yeah that was first reported at Eurobricks, then here, and then I reposted at Rebelscum. It's the first post in the "New sets for september" thread that has reached 13 pages So this is nothing new.
EDIT:
New enlarged pic from a LEGO Store where it seems the pilot is Wedge! _________________ I'm a Reliable Smuggler!

Well one of them is obviously Luke, and the other might be Wedge. The Luke would technically be new since it's in flesh, I suppose. |

Yeah, I believe it is Wedge in the enlarged pic I just edited above your post. The pic was from Eurobricks. _________________ I'm a Reliable Smuggler!

Look at the price in the large pic. There certainly a lot of figs for fairly cheap. A little suspicious...
You can see a tie interceptor behind it to the right.
How is the box that different? _________________

Euros I believe, it looked like 69,99??? Anyone want to do the math into dollars? And GIR3691, what's suspicious? Lately LEGO has been following the trend of many figs per set in the past year or so like Imperial Inspection, Jabba's Sail Barge, the ISD. _________________ I'm a Reliable Smuggler!

It must be Euros, since the last X-wing was only $50, and that had more pieces. Here's a new pic, where the price can be seen:

Can anyone else see this, or is it just me? Luke's head in the enlarged picture looks yellow compared to Han and Leia. Maybe it's just the lighting, or my eyes, but it looks strange... _________________

The lightsaber he's holding is what looks really off to me, but I think it's a fake. A good fake, but a fake none-the-less. _________________ Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe. - Albert Einstein |

yes, but those sets were near 100$ the x-wing isn't nearly that much. Plus, the ideas (including mine) of lots of figs for 50$ or less got shot down in the troop builder forum.
Also, the price sticker could be for something besides the x- wing, or it's just 9 euros _________________
