I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this ... but I'll give it a try.
A friend told me he saw both a Supervisor and Asst Manager position on Monster for a new Lego Store in King of Prussia, PA. I looked it up and found the postings but can't find any information on an opening date.
Anyone have any other information about this? I'm most interested in when they're opening and if they will be offering part time employment?
I'm so pumped. I worked right across from that mall. _________________ "Leg godt mig bekendte" |

The assistant manager position is listed on the Lego site jobs vacancy so this looks official!
Great news for the Crusader family--no more driving to New Jersey! _________________ "He is a very shallow critic who cannot see an eternal rebel in the heart of a conservative." - G.K.Chesterton |

AWESOME! This is fantastic news.
My wife and I are going to be moving to Delaware in the next 6 months or so and I was really dreading not having a LEGO store nearby– going from two stores in the area to one would just be too much to take. It'd still be about a half-hour from where we're looking to go, but it'll sure beat the alternative 2+ hours back to VA.

Yeah, yeah, I'm so happy for all of you that have stores nearby.
Let's see, the nearest store to Wichita, KS is in Egypt, right? _________________ LEGO Batman is AWESOME!

| Now, when is the NC LEGO store opening? I've had enough of the nearest one being in Atlanta. |

I talked to another AFOL today and her friend saw the sign at the mall. I was told the store is going to be near the JC Penney store. _________________ "Leg godt mig bekendte"

Nice! Now I have two options for LEGO Stores! I'm probably equal distance to King of Prussia as I am to Bridgewater, but I have family down towards King of Prussia.
Can't wait to visit the PAB wall! _________________ -< Capt. Maarek >-

I'll be there. I'm going over to the mall with some co-workers for lunch and to stop by to see the store.
Anyone else going tomorrow? _________________ "Leg godt mig bekendte" |

| I'm heading over late Saturday morning, so leave some Pick-A-Brick for me! By the way, PennLUG will be having its monthly meeting there (and at the food court) Saturday morning around 11. Pennsylvania AFOLs are invited to attend. |

If anyone going to the King of Prussia opening manages to score a couple extra of the limited edition Liberty Bell sets, let me know and I'll gladly buy or trade with you for it. |

What a friggin' zoo! The Crusader family finally made it there on Sunday morning. The line to get in the store stretched...well it stretched a long way past several other stores. It probably took about an hour to get in the store itself. Once in, the store was naturally completely packed with only two registers running (they realy should have rented some more for the opening in my opinion--they had plenty of employees but they were more in the way than helpful since the store was so crowded). We waited probably another twenty minutes to buy some sets. And the temperature in the store was in the mid to upper eighties. However the store was well stocked with sets and they were doing the best they could under the circumstances.
The Yoda building event was more open and therefore much less crowded. My boys greatly enjoyed putting together the giant bricks, and of course the model itself by Sunday PM was looking pretty cool.
A minor complaint: We had gotten postcards advertising free Star Wars keychains with a $25 purchase, plus the boys got a $5 off coupon (with a $35 purchase) after building the Yoda bricks, and there was an advertised T-shirt giveaway with purchase for that day as well. Sadly these offers could not be combined. So we went away with only two free keychains. Considering the lengthy lines we had to wait in, not to mention the rather unpleasant shopping experience itself, not to mention the obvious huge sales going on (no apparent recession in King of Prussia!), Lego could have been a bit more generous to its die hard fans.
A nice bonus: the Cartoon Network had set up a large exhibit promoting the Clone Wars cartoon that same weekend. My boys got free stickers, rub-on tattoos, and posters. They got their pictures taken in Jedi cloaks and lightsabers for free. and they got to play the new Wii game as well. No lines, lots of cool monitors showing the episodes, lots of friendly staff. Did I mention that it was free? _________________ "He is a very shallow critic who cannot see an eternal rebel in the heart of a conservative." - G.K.Chesterton |

It was also crowded Saturday morning. I had to wait in line for two hours But I manage to get cafe corner, market street, AT-AT, and Sith Infiltrator. So overall it was worth it. To bad I didn't know about that clone wars event. Now I know why there was someone dressed up as clone wars Obi-wan walking around. |

Was there Saturday morning and saw the line and thought "no way." I kinda wanted the Liberty Bell set only for it's uniqueness, but I didn't want it that much.
The real draw of Lego stores for me is the pick a brick, and that would have been chaos. The stores are tough enough to move around without getting in someone else's way, and the lighting always makes it hot for me if I'm in there too long.
It was exciting to see so much interest in the store, though. To see those parents making the effort to wait in line so long was awesome. Hopefully that's a sign of Lego's strength. |

Try going today- I will guarantee that the lines are shorter. For all of you who came out to shop and see the big build, thanks! For those of you who helped out, thanks- it was tons of fun. |
