Hi, all.

This is my first post here. I've had trouble with my FBTB account for a long time, so many thanks to CountBlockula for fixing that for me. Smile

Presenting my last-minute entry to 'Don and dW's Steam-Wars Contest':

Flickr Gallery

General Greeves is a Southern Gentleman and military genius who commands his army from his amazing steam-powered wheel bike. (I know that this is slightly larger than the official LEGO set, but I think Steampunk is set in the age of Iron, not alien metal alloys.) Wink

I'll try to get some images uploaded soon with the legs extended. Right now, I just wanted to get my entry into the contest.

Enjoy!
Nelson

My thoughts summed up pretty well... You certainly earned you Ambassador stripes sir. I absolutely love the great texture you've got all over the wheel. I was hoping someone would do a wheel bike!

That is amazing! You captured it so very well. I really like how you put so much detail on the wheel. Fantastic Job!

Nice to have a change of pace around here.

Looks great, that vehicle was perfect to steampunk-ify. It's so impractical to begin with, and you did a great re-imagining of it.

Are the guns supposed to be firearms or tracks? Great Moc, Nice and Compact.

Ugh, I hate it when that happens Razz

I really like this MOC. It is a very good representation, and extremely well steampunk-ified Star Wars vehicle. I actually prefer the steampunk idea to the original wheel bike. It really fits as a steampunk vehicle. I love the detail in this. It's quite amazing and looks perfectly stempunk. I especially like your use of the treaks with the greebles added for extra treadish look. I also like the boiler wedged into the middle, very creative. Great job.

A quick question, does it actually roll? I can't tell from your pictures. I don't see any gears in the middle, but it's hard to say.

Great concept, BigDaddy. There's no more to say, the treads, the cannons, the gears and pullies: it works, and this is, by far, my favorite steampunk so far.

One of the best entries, I must say. Brilliant work! I love the industrial look it has, how it got tons more bulky after the steampunkification. Can we get a shot with it's legs folded out?

Great idea, fantastically realised. A master build, yet it has playability and character. Brilliant stuff.

Absolutely brilliant!
Where did I ever get the idea I'd stand a chance in this competition?

Holy gadunka, that's awesome! One question, where on earth did you get so many pistols?

Pretty sweet! Love the detail on the treads, though I feel like the pistols should be facing the other way for ultimate traction :p

Also, isn't it technically a unicycle? Bikes have 2 wheels!

The wheel is amazing. And the rest of the model is great too.

Shocked I thought those were exhaust pipes, but they fold out into legs! Sweet!
