...gah, what a horrible name.
I managed to juggle both my exams and finish my entry. I just finished this and hurried to take pics, I wanted to have an entry even if I don't win, and I have to admit I got a bit discouraged by all the top-notch entries so-far. I apologize for the grainy quality of the pictures, non-natural lighting is not my thing. I'll take better pics tomorrow, even add a steampunk'd LAAT
Enjoy: Reference pic

and here's the crew, consisting of a high ranking officer, driver/engineer, and the famous stim-trooper (starcraft reference).
Thanks for watching _________________

Really nice. I like the functional looking winch thing on the rear leg. The pics quality is interesting. The strong shadows make it almost look like a render. Beautiful work! _________________ U bah ko ratta kah ba wipa ky is ka chone kawa wookiee.

Nice! This contest has so many great entries, but this is definately in my top 5-10. I really do pity the fools who have to judge this... _________________ With common principles to the next level - Brrraaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnss........ |

Your build, as ever, is awesome, you're in a league of your own when it comes to sci-fi, and this for me is more sci-fi than steam punk. Don't get me wrong, you rock , it's just you live in another dimension to the rest of us mere mortals _________________

If your aim is build such fantastic stuff that it makes me hate me for making the crud I have (in comparison to yours), then well done sir, you succeed.
That is amazing Adrian, nice work, You, among others, have made this competition nigh impossible to pick a winner. _________________

*Faints*
Whew... Well, I'm pretty much speechless... All I have to say is, if this is how your entry turned out, I'm sure you'll do just fine on your exams! Superb job! *Faints again* _________________ This post was only a test.

10 points for the amazing use of the rubber band retainer alone. That looks pretty cool. From what I've seen there's kind of two schools of steampunk vehicles here, backyard creations and refined top of the line. It looks high tech but still archaic. Awesome. _________________ "No one likes you ... you ... a big ... no ... funny..." - dWhisper |

Thanks everyone! I did try to stray away from the stereotypical image of steampunk being brown, tied together, and junkie-ish looking. I wanted mine to look like an industrial era, steel plated, war machine, used in an organized military. The cannon on top is a Krupp field gun mounted on a turret, and on the sides in the front are flamethrowers ..these AT-sTEams would be mass produced.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=dRh1niAmrkc this is what provided some of the inspiration for me. _________________
