This is the NFL Football (American) thread where you can post your favorite team, pictures, autographs, and...yeah.
My favorite team is the...Seahawks! or the Packers! (Sorry, highlight if needed.)

My Favorite team is the Chargers. They did pretty good last season, but not as good this season. I hope they improve. |

Playing right now are (drum roll) the Packers and the Bears! Packers are winning 7 to 0.
EDIT: Never mind, touchdown Bears. 7 to 7. Can you guess who I'm rooting for? _________________ CGF UPDATE

How are the Giants 3-2 with an offense that features Eli Manning throwing to Plaxico Burress for a score and pretty much nothing else? Easy... defensive scores against teams. Basically, if another teams offense stinks enough, the Giants might beat you.
Oh, and I'm a Giants fan. _________________ flickr |

Either I'm tired... or don't get it besides the obvious "Giants" thing...
So...
Basically, I don't get it. _________________ flickr |

Holy crap... that Dallas game tonight was intense. You have to wonder how you can beat my boys when they play that badly and still win. _________________ Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe. - Albert Einstein |

Thankfully... I wised up... barely. I'd shut it off after the 5th pick, but brought it up on si.com to watch the play-by-play. I glance down and see 22 to 24, and after a very loud expletive, drive for the remote. I turn it on in time to see the absolutely beautiful Onside kick and the two Field Goals for the win. I was probably up an extra hour because it was just so crazy and got me all wound up. _________________ Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe. - Albert Einstein |

Too bad the Cows will ultimately fall to the New England Patriots this Sunday.
Such a shame, when the Cowboys will be 5 and 1 no one will pay attention to them.
The New England Patriots on the other hand, at 6 and 0, will get all the attention.

Let's see... I call Cowboys 37, Patriots 30. The signal thieves will waver under the onslaught that is Romo (and he'll only throw one pick in the game) _________________ Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe. - Albert Einstein |

Naw, my Patriots have too good a defense!
The Cowboy's offensive line can't repel the likes of Adalius Thomas, Teddi Bruschi, Rodney Harrison, and Mike Vrabel.
Brady has gotten minimally sacked in all of the games. Junior Seau and Asante Samuel can take care of business too.
Randy Moss and Wes Welker will get it done again this week I think.
Tony Romo (I'm ingoring the last game, he was horrific) is a very good quarterback.
TO is a little too flashy for my tastes but he is a good reciever.
(I'm really not that familiar with Dallas, but what I said above is true)
I'm gonna call 31-17 Patriots based on my conclusions. But your prediciton isn't bad either. _________________ What would you do for a Klondike bar? |

Actually, Romo is exceedingly good at avoiding pressure, which will negate some of that. He avoided the Bear's rushing attack easily, and that was before the injury ravages that have taken hold (though, honestly, a lot of those came in that game). Given what happened after the last game, you can expect a lot more ball-control oriented Cowboys team.
Moss does worry me a bit, which is why I put the Pats score as high as I did. However, if the Boys have Henry and Newman, I'll be a whole lot less worried. _________________ Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe. - Albert Einstein |

well i am a cowboys fan and have been all my life (well since i was about three)(1995ish) so you could say i jumped on a bandwagon which is true but i liked the color blue mainly.... anyway this is the first good team they have had in a while and after the game against the bills last night i think that the pats will fall to our superiority i think the confidence in the cowboys will be so high that romo will have a close to perfect night .... it will start off with the pats winning but eventually the cowboys will pull ahead and take over no offense to pats fans but seeing how im from indiana even if i wasnt for the cowboys i would be gong for them b/c around here we hate the pats and their video taking ways.... just my 2 cents hope i didnt upset neone but i call the game for the cowboys with a relatively high score(upper 40ties for both b/c we are both high offensive teams _________________ some people are like slinkys..... basically worthless but you can take great delight in pushing them down the stairs |
