hello. This is my submission to the Create-a-droid contest. The "robot" I have chosen to create is known as the robo-hack (or a robotic taxi, in layman's terms). Here is the Wookiepedia reference, with a nice text desrption, and some stats. That said, here are some various views for your viewing entertainment.

front

3/4 side

overhead view

the rear

side rear

underside

greeblies in the rear

open gull-wing door

gull-wing door removed, alternate view

the rest of the gallery (I'm 99.99% sure it's public right now)

Enjoy!!, and good luck to all the other participants!

Thanks! I think that the cockpit was the toughest part to fabricate, however, I think it turned out prety nicely. I will try to take more pics soon. Also, It can comfortably seat 4 minifigs on the bench seats. In case your wondering it can also be found in the essential guide to droinds.

Very nice. I don't have half of that many yellow parts...great construction and greebles too. I love those exo-force robot arms. Smile

thank you. btw, the entire grey back section is snotted out. The model was originally 10 studs shorter, but I increased it to keep the longer feel. About those exo-force arms, I have to say that my Supernove bit the dust just a week or two after being purchased. And I don't think I used any parts from it besides the arms. Twisted Evil

Wow. And my wife thinks I know everything about Star Wars...

Entering this model into Pepa Quin's contest is a little stretch IMHO, but nonetheless, it doesn't take away the fact that your rendition is pretty cool and accurate. I especially like the fact that you went with a yellow colored Robo-Hack, emphasizing that it's in fact just a robotized taxi.

Really well done!

Hey, thanks! The reason I went with yellow is because 1) I have lots of yellow parts now, thanks to the Land Busters set, 2) The Essential guide stated that these vehicles were brightly colored, and 3) In my point of view, yellow = fast Razz . I'm wondering though, what makes this a stretch? Is it because it is a vehicle? Or is it because it is from the essential guide? Just curious, and thank you all again for your kind comments so far. Very Happy

To answer your question, I think it's a stretch because it's essentially a vehicle with a droid brain. I also think it's a stretch because it wasn't in any of the movies, and the best reference pic available is only an artist rendition of what it would look like.

But this is just my humble opinion. It's Pepa's contest, and he makes the rules for it. Wink And it doesn't take away the fact that you made a really cool lego model out of it. Very Happy

Weel, It's been a while, and I have updated my Robo-Hack! Yay! Also, I have a picture of people inside of it, to show that it is minifig scale. So, here we go:

The first change I've made is to tile over the cockpit. Notice how it makes it blend in with the rest of the vehicle better.

Secondly, notice the more complete underside, with the addition of a few plates and a fuel-pump/line.

the original gallery, when moderated, with the updates folder.

Enjoy, and Comments and Constructive criticism welcome!

EDIT: The original deeplinks and gallery of the first post no longer work, as I took the pictures down and resized them.

That's a great model, but you could press your bricks down a bit and align them a bit more...
